Inconel 925 Sheets, Plates, and Coils are high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys that contain nickel, chromium, and iron as the major constituents with other elements such as molybdenum, titanium, and copper. This alloy is particularly developed to give the best mechanical characteristics particularly in high pressure applications. It is highly resistant to different types of corrosion, oxidation and pitting and thus suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. Inconel 925 Sheet is highly resistant to harsh conditions and is used in oil and gas, marine, aerospace and chemical processing applications.

Features
Some of the features of Inconel 925 Sheets, Plates, and Coils are high strength and toughness at high temperatures. The alloy is able to withstand the rigors of high pressure and corrosive chemicals that may be present in the operating environment. The Inconel 925 Plate also has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and hence can be used in high mechanical stress applications. The other advantage of the alloy is that it can be hardened through precipitation hardening and this makes it to have a good mechanical properties even after it has been subjected to heat treatment.
Benefits
Another benefit that can be attributed to Inconel 925 Coils is the fact that the material is very resistant to wear in extreme conditions. The enhanced corrosion and mechanical characteristics of the alloy increase the service life of the components and decrease maintenance costs and time. It has high tensile and yield strength at both the room and the elevated temperatures, which makes it suitable for use in industries that require material that can withstand stress. Inconel 925 Sheets also has very good oxidation resistance, which is very useful where the material is exposed to heat and oxygen.
Corrosion Resistance
Inconel 925 Plates also has the ability to resist corrosion, which is one of the many benefits of using this material. The alloy is also immune to pitting and crevice corrosion especially in chloride containing environment such as in the offshore oil and gas exploration. It also has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and therefore ideal for use where materials are under tensile stress and corrosive conditions. Also, its ability to resist general corrosion in acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric acids increases its applicability in many industries.
Chemical Composition
Inconel 925 has the following chemical composition: Ni 38-46%, Cr 19. 5-23. 5% chromium, 2. 5-3. 5% molybdenum, and other elements such as titanium, aluminum and copper which make it resistant to corrosion and strong. All these factors combine to give the alloy high resistance to oxidising, reduced environments and high temperature.
Heat Treatment
The heat treatment process of Inconel 925 Coils includes both annealing and precipitation hardening to enhance the mechanical characteristics of the alloy. Precipitation hardening also helps to strengthen the alloy, increase its hardness and strength. This heat treatment makes Inconel 925 to have the right performance characteristics even when working under high stress, making it ideal for use in critical applications.
Applications
The uses of Inconel 925 Sheets, Plates, and Coils are seen in the oil and gas industry, marine industry, aerospace industry, and chemical industries. It is widely used in the production of downhole and surface well parts, valves and fasteners for offshore drilling. In the aerospace industry, the Inconel 925 Plate is applied in making structures that need strength and heat endurance. It also has a very good corrosion resistance and is therefore ideal for use in chemical processing equipment where the equipment is likely to come into contact with chemicals.
