The 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel pipe we carry has a mixed austenitic and ferritic microstructure, roughly split down the middle. In practice, this gives it close to double the yield strength of standard 316L, and it holds up much better against chloride stress corrosion cracking. Sizes run from half an inch up to 24 inch NB. Wall thickness goes from Schedule 5S through Schedule 80S. We supply it seamless, welded, or ERW, depending on what the drawing calls for, and we cut to length where the site schedule needs it.

A 2205 Duplex pipe handles pitting from acidic or chloride-heavy streams better than 304 or 316. That's a major reason why refineries put it into heat exchanger tubing and process piping. Oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, all of them lean on this grade once standard austenitic stainless starts corroding under chloride or sulfide exposure. Stock sizes go out in 7 to 10 working days. Custom lengths, bends, and end finishes can be arranged too.
